How Your Bundle Works
Your plan includes a bundle. Everything inside it is covered by your flat fee, anything beyond bills at a discounted per-use rate, and nothing is ever blocked.
What is an active client?
A client with billable activity in a calendar month — a payroll email, a GL conversion, an active client-API connection, or a scheduled report. Clients with no activity that month don't count toward your bundle and aren't billed. You're never charged for dormant clients on file.
How the bundle works
Each plan includes a set number of active clients and API connections. Inside your bundle, all payroll emails, GL conversions, and scheduled reports are covered by your flat monthly fee. Go beyond your bundle and you simply pay per use at your plan's discounted rate — your account is never capped or blocked.
Two separate allowances
Your active-client allowance and your API-connection allowance are counted separately. A client inside your client bundle that also uses an API connection occupies one slot in each. API connections past your included count bill at the per-connection rate even if that client is within your client bundle.
Only pay for what you use, never get blocked.
Example 1 — growing past your bundle. You're on Growth with 90 active clients this month. Your first 75 are included for $499 flat. The other 15 bill at per-use rates — say each runs one payroll email and one GL conversion: $499 + 15 × ($0.77 + $1.35) = ~$531 that month. No client was ever blocked.
Example 2 — clients on file vs. active. You manage 200 clients but only 60 ran payroll this month. You pay your flat $499 and $0 overage — because billing follows activity, not headcount. Dormant clients are free.
Example 3 — API connections count separately. You're on Growth with 40 clients connected to QuickBooks. Your bundle includes 25 API connections, so 15 bill at $13.50/mo each — even though all 40 clients are within your 75-client bundle for their emails and GL.
